This hotel was an excellent location and base for the murrayfield stadium when attending a sporting event and was handy enough for the city centre, however, i was dissapointed that i was placed in the 'lodge' and not the main hotel. The room was poor & the shower was ineffective! I think guest should be made more aware that they can be placed in the 'lodge' & that this building is a further walk down the road from the hotel. Not ideal when u have your bags with you & certainly not ideal to have to walk back up the road for breakfast! I would visit this hotel again, however i would insist on a room in the hotel & not 'lodge'.

Nice location but we knew this area. Excellent for a few days away. Food excellent. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Outside City Centre but only a 5 minute ride. Nice Toby Resturante in Corstorphine and couple nice pubs. Very handy for Zoo

Great place to stay if you are visiting Murrayfield Stadium and if you are into tv sport - giant screens etc in the bar. Restaurant was clean and service was good, but limited choice. Pub grub!

Hampton Hotel next door to the Murrayfield was a great night out. Excellent food and friendly staff, good background music and not too expensive. I can recommend the Haggis, neeps & tattie
main course, it was first class. Zoo was a 10 minute walk up the main road (15 for geriatrics like me)! and is a must see if you can. We got the bus back though, as it started raining. Bus was £1.20 each for a single trip and a taxi to Princes Street from Murrayfield £7.00. We left our cases in the left-luggage at Waverley Station so we could explore the city centre and got a shock - £7.00 per item - wish we had just took one larger case instead of the week-end bags we had. Princes Street is a bit of a state with the tram works, but you can still see all the major sites no problem. Great week-end.
